Artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms play an increasingly large role in our day-to-day lives.

This expansion poses important questions. Do these AI systems affect the social dynamics in our lives? How do they change the way that we connect and relate to each other? Can we take participatory approaches to design cooperative, ethical algorithms and systems?
